Expression of Interest - Plant 3D Administrator (Fixed Term)

The opportunity

To anticipate our future needs, we are looking for a Plant 3D Administrator to join our Industrial team in Jakarta, Indonesia. This role is fixed term basis for 12 months with opportunity to be extended.

On this role, you will play a pivotal role in managing and maintaining our mechanical / piping Plant 3D environment across Australia, New Zealand and Indonesia, ensuring seamless project execution and data integrity. Youll collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support design workflows, troubleshoot issues, and optimize system performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Company Templates
• Manage and maintain company Plant 3D templates:

• Catalogs and Specifications: Piping, Primary supports, Secondary support.
• Drawing configuration: Orthographic and Isometric.
• Create and update supporting documentation
• Project Setup:
• Configure project folder structures, all admin settings, define naming conventions etc.
• Liaise with our P&ID specialists to configure and manage P&ID (Piping and Instrumentation Diagram) databases to align with project requirements.
• Integrate P&ID process data with 3D model data including validation methods.
• Create and maintain project Plant 3D procedures (working and administration
• Work closely with designers, engineers, and project managers to align Plant 3D deliverables with project goals

• Pipe Supports and Detailing:

• Maintain pipe support libraries, ensuring compliance with project/client specifications.
• Collaborate with in-house engineering teams to align P3D deliverables to Beca standards.

• P&ID Integration and Validation:

• Map P&ID objects and 3D models.
• Create workflows to validate Plant 3D models against P&IDs.

• Automation and Customization:

• Leverage Python scripting to enhance P3D libraries
• Develop and implement automation to improve workflows and improve P3D user efficiencies.

• Catalogues and Specifications

• Maintain all project Pipe and supports specs for the duration of the project lifecycle.
• Manage and maintain in house P3D Catalogues and pipe and support specs and verification processes.

• Deliverables:

• Maintain orthographic and isometric drawing production.
• Customize isometric drawing template and style.
• Maintain and run Reports and BOMs.
• Work with inhouse Engineering teams to maintain and improve accuracy and efficiency of deliverables and performance of P3D workflows.

• BIM Management and Model Coordination
• Liaise with Beca BIM managers and advise on Plant 3D project BIM integration abilities and functions.
• Data Integrity and Collaboration:

• Manage and maintain the accuracy of project databases, ensuring consistency across drawings and models.
• Work closely with designers, engineers, and project managers to align Plant 3D deliverables with project goals.
• Auditing of model integrity and deliverables.

• User Support and Training

• Provide technical support to project teams, resolving issues related to Plant 3D functionality, automation, and workflows.
• Conduct training sessions for new users and provide ongoing guidance to enhance team proficiency.
• Communicating with Autodesk support.

• Co-ordination with Beca CAD/Digital Team

• Work with CAD/Digital Team re Software rollout/UAT to ensure consistency with other company software/procedures

About you

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Proven experience in Autodesk Plant 3D administration and project management, minimum 5 years working experience in similar role, preferably from engineering consultant company.
• Strong understanding of piping design, pipe supports, engineering workflows, and CAD/BIM standards.
• Experienve with Autodesk Constructiuon Cloud (ACC), Navis work and BIM workflows.
• Proficiency in P&ID setup, integration, and validation workflows.
• Experience with Python scripting for automation and customisation.
• Knowledge of isometric drawing setup, configuration, and troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with database management (SQL knowledge is a plus).
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills to support cross-functional teams.

• Ability to adapt to changing project needs and prioritise tasks effectively.
• Having good written and verbal communication in English.
