About the Sales Manager (Freight Forwarding) Role:
You will play a pivotal role in leading and developing a high-performing sales team. Your primary responsibilities include developing new and existing business, creating a robust sales pipeline, generating leads, and achieving ambitious sales targets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of four to five sales staff to maximise their potential
  • Foster a collaborative and results-driven team culture
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to expand the client base and achieve sales targets
  • Identify and pursue opportunities with a mix portfolio of local and multinational companies
  • Create and maintain a robust sales pipeline to ensure a steady flow of new business
  • Generate and qualify sales leads to drive business growth
  • Set and monitor team targets, aiming for a monthly GP of 25-30k USD
  • Collaborate with the team to strategise and execute effective sales plans
  • Demonstrate product expertise in seafreight (FCL/LCL), airfreight, domestic trucking for controlled commodities (i.e garment, timber, etc.)

To succeed in this role, you will need to have expertise in freight forwarding, particularly in handling chemical/DG cargo and containerised goods within the niche industries of pharma, medical, machinery, spare parts and other commodities

Key Requirements:

  • Minimum of five to eight years of experience in logistics/freight forwarding companies
  • Proven experience in freight forwarding sales with a strong track record
  • Familiarity with chemical/DG cargo and containerised goods logistics
  • Leadership skills to guide and motivate a sales team
  • Goal-oriented with a focus on achieving personal and team sales targets
  • Experience handling shipments within pharma, medical, machinery, and spare part industries
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills
  • Existing customer base include a mix of local and multinational clients in niche industries
