Waiter / Waitress

As a Waiter/Waitress, you play a crucial role in providing excellent customer service by taking orders, serving food and beverages, and ensuring a positive dining experience for patrons. Your attention to detail, friendly demeanor, and efficiency contribute to the overall success of the restaurant or establishment.

Responsibilities:

1. Customer Service

- Greet and seat customers in a courteous and timely manner.

- Provide menus and make recommendations based on customer preferences.

- Take and accurately record food and beverage orders.

2. Order Fulfillment

- Communicate orders to the kitchen staff and ensure prompt and accurate delivery of food to tables.

- Monitor and manage multiple tables, ensuring timely clearing of dishes and resetting for the next guests.

- Address any customer inquiries or special requests.

3. Product Knowledge

- Have a thorough understanding of the menu, including ingredients, preparation methods, and available options.

- Be able to answer questions about menu items, including allergen information.

4. Upselling

- Suggest additional items, such as appetizers, desserts, or beverages, to enhance the dining experience and increase sales.

5. Cash Handling

- Process customer payments using cash registers or point-of-sale systems.

- Handle cash, credit cards, and other forms of payment accurately.

6. Team Collaboration

- Work collaboratively with kitchen staff, bartenders, and other waitstaff to ensure seamless service.

- Communicate effectively with colleagues and management to address any issues or concerns.

7. Cleanliness and Organization

- Set up dining areas before service and ensure they are clean and well-maintained throughout operating hours.

- Assist in bussing tables, dishwashing, and overall cleanliness of the restaurant.

8. Compliance

- Adhere to health and safety regulations, including food handling and sanitation standards.

- Ensure compliance with alcohol service policies, checking identification when necessary.

Qualifications:

- Proven experience as a waiter/waitress or in a customer service role.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle stressful situations with composure.

- Basic math skills for handling payments and making change.

- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.

- Ability to stand for long periods and lift heavy trays if necessary.

- A positive attitude and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service.

Job Types: Full-time, Trial period contract, Fresh graduate

Salary: Rp2,835,000 - Rp4,500,000 per month

• Restaurant/Banquet Server: 1 year (Preferred)
