We advise governments and multi-lateral organizations on how to develop strategies for attracting foreign direct investment (FDI) and promoting trade through our Economic Development practice.

Job Description

As a Senior Research Assistant, you will be a part of diverse team of individuals with expertise in engineering, the sciences, financial and operational analysis, geographic analysis, and applied economics. Your team will work with leading Fortune 500 and 1000 companies on engagements that help them build and expand their businesses in Asian markets. Through your work in our consulting, M&A, and economic development practices you will advise senior management and C-level executives on strategic, financial, and operational decisions.

Senior Research Analysts will generally undertake secondary and primary research, then organize and analyze their findings under the direction of an engagement team leader or director. They will ensure that the strategic analysis and tactical commercial advice being provided is accurate, insightful and exceeds the client’s expectations.

Responsibilities

• Undertake and deliver research in support of consulting engagements on-schedule.
• Undertake and deliver engagement administrative tasks as required on-schedule.
• Support Directors and Consulting Managers to develop new consulting business either with existing or new clients.
• Take initiative to continuously develop his/her analytical, managerial and administrative skills.
• Undertake consulting practice administrative tasks as required by Directors and Consulting Managers.
• Deliver other tasks as required of Directors, Consulting Managers and Consultants.

Qualifications, Experience and Skills

• Excellent at critically assessing problems through quantitative and qualitative analysis.
• Academic or professional experience undertaking market or financial analysis preferably at a professional services firm (consulting, market research, banking/finance) or within industry (FMCG, manufacturing, medical devices, healthcare, etc).
• Takes initiative to identify creative solutions to client and company problems.
• Proactive, responsible and able to work under pressure, with strong proven research skills.
• Experience executing on engagements and taking responsibility to ensure project tasks are executed on-time and at the highest level of quality.
• Demands that all deliverables are accurate and within set formats.
• Able to use all MS software products competently at an advanced level. Other software such as Photoshop, Illustrator, STATA, SPSS, ArcEditor, a plus.
• B.A/B.S. degree from a top-ranked university in in any discipline; an honors degree is a distinct advantage.
• Advanced degree in business, economics, management, engineering or the sciences or professional equivalent an advantage.
• At least 1-3 years of business consulting or other relevant experience with marketing and selling professional services.
• Excellent written and oral professional business communication and presentation skills in English and other language.
• Willing to travel domestically and internationally.
• Indonesian nationality only.
