Demand Planning Manager (FMCG)

About the Demand Planning Manager (FMCG) Role:
Due to excellent results and future expansion plans, the Demand Planning Manager (FMCG) will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and effective management of demand forecasting processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Utilise historical sales data, market trends, and other relevant information to generate accurate demand forecasts
• Develop and implement forecasting models and tools to enhance prediction accuracy
• Regularly review and adjust forecasts based on changing market conditions and business dynamics
• Work closely with sales, marketing, and production teams to gather information on promotions, new product launches, and market trends
• Collaborate with key stakeholders to understand demand drivers and incorporate them into the forecasting process
• Optimise inventory levels to meet customer demand while minimising excess stock and potential obsolescence
• Implement inventory control strategies to improve overall supply chain efficiency
• Monitor and report on key inventory performance metrics
• Analyse and interpret data to identify patterns, trends, and anomalies that may impact demand forecasts
• Generate regular reports on demand planning performance, highlighting key insights and recommendations
• Utilise forecasting software and other tools to enhance data analysis capabilities
• Identify opportunities for process improvement within the demand planning function
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align demand planning with sales, production, and procurement strategies
• Facilitate regular meetings with key stakeholders to review and adjust demand plans based on evolving business priorities

To succeed in this Demand Planning Manager (FMCG) job, you will need to have the ability to work effectively and co-operatively with sales, marketing, and production teams.

Key Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in supply chain management, business, or a related field; advanced degree is preferred
• Proven five to seven years of experience in demand planning within the FMCG industry
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with proficiency in using demand planning software and tools
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration across various departments
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
• Demonstrated leadership and team management skills
• Knowledge of industry best practices and emerging trends in demand planning
