In 2022, we’ve joined forces with Districon, a leading supply chain and logistics consultancy with 45 years’ experience developing strategies and solving and issues for integrated logistics and supply chain management.

Our joint team forms the Supply Chain & Logistics Centre of Excellence within RHDHV. We provide top-tier logistics & supply chain advisory as well as digital supply chain advanced analytics services on top of RHDHV’s traditional engineering and consultancy domain knowledge.

What will you do

This role will address a wide variety of supply chain and logistics challenges of our clients across the Asia Pacific region. You will be working with an impressive range of blue chip clients to understand and capture their requirements and then deliver projects with your data-driven approach, industry expertise and our digital tools. You will have the opportunity to help define how the engineering industry integrates with supply chain and uses advanced analytics to optimize and de-risk designs and solve the operational challenges of our clients.

You will use your skills, along with your teammates, for projects such as:

  • Propose an optimal logistics footprint, process re-design and material flows for an existing multi-national agri-business operation.
  • Preparing and aligning the business case for automation for a leading F&B company.
  • Using simulation modelling to de-risk and optimize the design and operations for a consumer goods factory and warehouse.
  • Modelling the future Supply Chain Network for an international wholesale company
  • Working with our Engineering colleagues to design the warehouse and logistics concepts for a new manufacturing site.
Where you will work

This role is planned to be based in Jakarta, Indonesia. Candidates are required to have valid work permits for the place of work (no sponsorship). The role offers flexibility to work partly at home and partly in the office. Travel to client sites across Asia for project work is occasionally required.

What you bring

The Candidate Profile:

  • A degree in Engineering (Industrial, Mechanical, Transportation, etc.), Supply Chain, Operations Research, Logistics, or equivalent relevant fields.
  • 5-10 years relevant experience in the Supply Chain & Logistics field.
  • Candidate ideally brings a blend of both industry (functional supply chain roles) as well as demonstrated supply chain & operations consulting experience.
  • Strong project management experience and fundamentals. In some projects you will take the independent lead, managing customer stakeholders across all levels of their organization as well as your consultant co-workers.
  • Able to analyze material and information flows within logistics, and production environments to design and optimize site intralogistics flows and processes in both greenfield and existing brownfield locations.
  • Demonstrated client management and communication skills to both support winning and delivering successful projects. You will play an important role supporting business development by meeting clients, attending conferences, and using your knowledge and network to win projects.
  • Experience applying business and operational process improvement concepts (e.g. Lean, Six Sigma, Value Stream Mapping) to real-world supply chain problems.

Nice-to-have experience and skills:

  • Warehouse or DC layout and material flow (re)design including material handling and storage automation solution concept designs and tendering
  • Familiarity and an interest in supply chain optimization, simulation, and mathematical modelling techniques and software to support our technical experts in project delivery.
  • Our team works primarily with the optimization platform AIMMS, simulation software WITNESS Horizon, and SQL, Python, and R.
