Your Role and Responsibilities
The Privacy organization at Equine Global (an IBM Company) enables the company to comply with various privacy laws to which it is subject around the world, manage data risks, and meet stakeholders expectations as it pertains to personal information management.

We are looking for a Privacy Program Manager who will be responsible for managing Equine Global’s Privacy programs and collaborating with cross-functional partners across Equine Global and IBM to address privacy issues related to regulatory compliance, marketing, HR, contract management, procurement, product management, etc. The team is global, with frequent contact maintained through Webex and Slack, creating an ideal role for candidates in a variety of locations.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the successful execution and oversight of the company’s Privacy programs, used to support controller processing activities and assets.
• Facilitate discussions between legal, business, and technical teams to align on approach for data privacy compliance activities.
• Provide privacy guidance across the business on complex privacy issues and projects; foster strong relationships with business owners and management.
• Manage the individuals supporting the company’s privacy programs and balance resources as required, provide mentoring, skills enhancement, and performance reviews; be able to foster a collaborative environment where there is trust and transparency with the team, stakeholders, and management.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

• At least has 7 years overall experience.
• Deep privacy expertise with 5+ years supporting or leading corporate privacy programs.
• Ability to work cross-functionally, interacting with stakeholders across several organizational groups.
• Strong project management and business communications skills.
• Ability to navigate in a multinational corporate environment.
• Confident ability to communicate in written English.
• Ability to work under pressure keeping a sense of good humor

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

• Experience with and knowledge of privacy regulations including the EU/UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), and Indonesia Personal Data Protection (PDP) Law.
• International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP) Certification(s).
