ABOUT YARAN

Yaran is a Perth-based property developer that specialises in affordable housing in Perth, Australia, but now also in Bali, Indonesia. The company was established in 1996 and since then has developed over 1,000 dwellings with a combined development value in excess of $400 million.

We are growing our Projects team to provide affordable housing for Australians in Bali.

THE ROLE

The role provides exposure to a wide variety of roles including but not limited to:

Project Management

• Contracting to purchase apartments from sellers and their agents (using existing and future real estate contacts)
• Completing due diligence on potential apartments to be contracted
• Conceptualising floor plans for renovation of apartments
• Liaising with in house architects in preparing full renovation plans which includes floor plans, elevations and illustrations
• Coordinating with consultants as required for building inspections
• Sourcing fixtures, fittings and materials as required for the apartment renovations
• Carrying out inspections of apartments during renovation and upon completion
• Coordinating any remedial work required after completion of renovations

Marketing and Sales

• Assisting with employing the required consultants to prepare the required marketing materials
• Assist the Perth based Sales and Marketing manager with any local assistance required.

Client Services

• Assist clients by welcoming them and assist them settle into life in Bali
• Assist clients with any daily requirements guiding them to choose from various service providers in Bali.

Initially, you will be working closely with Yaran’s Director and Sales & Marketing Manager to develop the necessary skills for this wide-ranging role. As the Yaran business ramps up, additional resources will be recruited to assist as required.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Fluent in English (both written and oral)
• Fluent in Bahasa Indonesia (both written and oral)
• Ability to speak Balinese would also be highly regarded
• University degree or post graduate qualifications in Engineering or Architecture
• Ability to read and interpret plans
• Preferably can use (a) Revvit or Autocad for drafting; and (b) Sketchup and Enscape for renders

EMPLOYMENT AND SALARY

• Immediate start;
• Permanent full-time position;
• Must be based in Bali, preferably close to the Seminyak area;
• An attractive salary of A$1000 per month (approx. IDR 10 juta per month) will be offered to the right candidate.

Schedule

• 8-hour shift – 5 days per week (Monday to Friday) with some occasional weekend work required for Client Services.
