About the Logistics and Operations Manager Role:
This is a great opportunity for the candidate to redevelop systems and processes. The successful applicant will facilitate container import, manage domestic trucking logistics, liaise with storage facilities, and occasionally oversee bulk shipment imports.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage container imports by negotiating with freight forwarders, planning, communicating with suppliers, handling documents, and addressing demurrage concerns
• Oversee truck logistics by negotiating with trucking companies, planning, communicating with customers, handling documents, and addressing demurrage concerns
• Act as the primary point of contact for our storage facility, involved in planning and operational matters
• Proactively strategise on optimising logistics flow leveraging your expertise and connections
• Monitor contract and stock levels using our ERP-system (Microsoft AX 2012)
• Generate loading and unloading orders
• Coordinate customs clearance with our agent for incoming and outgoing goods
• Scrutinise documents for accuracy and validity in import container shipments
• Log incoming and outgoing goods in our ERP system (Microsoft AX 2012)
• Organise tank planning
• Report container shipment statuses to management and the logistics department
• Provide bi-weekly updates on estimated time of arrivals (ETAs) for product planning purposes
• Process incoming goods and expense invoices, as well as generate outgoing goods and expense invoices

Key Requirements:

• Bachelors degree, preferably in logistics, though not mandatory
• A minimum of five years relevant work experience
• Ability to effectively communicate in both English and Bahasa Indonesia, both written and verbal
• Exhibits outstanding communication and teamwork capabilities
• Displays flexibility, resilience, and reliability in work practices
• Ability to work in an organised and structured manner
• Proficient in Excel, data management, and ERP systems
