Hijra Engineering is the technology backbone of Hijra, the next-generation financial institution offering financial products adhering to the Islamic principles. Hijra’s financial services are purposefully ethical, inclusive, and socially responsible. We are looking for a passionate junior security engineer with 2-3 years of experience to join our engineering team and help us protect digital assets from cybersecurity threats. You will be an integral part of our cybersecurity defense team, responsible for identifying vulnerabilities, responding to security incidents, and implementing security measures.

Responsibilities

Monitor and analyze our network for security threats and vulnerabilities

Assist in the development and implementation of security protocols and measures, including threat modeling and risk assessment

Collaborate with other team members to improve our incident response strategies

Stay updated with the latest cybersecurity trends and threat intelligence sources

Participate in regular security audits and compliance checks

Provide support in managing security tools and technologies
Basic understanding of cybersecurity principles, tools, and technologies.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Eagerness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced industry.

Preferred (but not required)

Any cybersecurity certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+, CEH).

Prior internship or project experience in cybersecurity or IT.
