The Concierge represents the main contact for the guest seeking an experience in or outside of the hotel and responds to a wide variety of guest requests by accurately assessing the guest needs and requests and then adding personal recommendations and touches to achieve maximum customer satisfaction.
Job Description :
- Handles all guests need with the highest level of hospitality and professionalism, accommodating special requests whenever possible.
- Resolves customer complaints, assist customers in all inquiries in connection with hotel services, hours of operations, key hotel personnel, in-house events, directions, etc.
- Responds to all guest requests in an accurate and timely manner making recommendations based on local knowledge and hotel practices.
- Works harmoniously and professionally with co-workers and supervisors.
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth operations
- Basic knowledge about Surabaya and activities are available in the city in order to provide information for guests.
- Ability to operate manual and automatic vehicles with minimum 2 years driving experience
- Ensure security and safety protocols are followed
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- A minimum of a high school diploma or a degree in hospitality or tourism is an advantage.
- At least 1-2 years of experience in a similar role at 4 or 5 star hotel
- Proficiency in English (written and spoken) is required, additional languages are an advantage.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proficient in using reservation software and basic office applications (e.g., Opera, Microsoft 365).
- Warm and approachable personality with a genuine passion for customer service.
- Knowledge of local attractions, cultural sites, and activities in the area.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
- A valid drivers license
- Able to join in a short notice period
