DCS Project Engineer

As a DCS Project Engineer for Process Automation business, you will be responsible for working on project engineering, commissioning, and post commissioning service job in Process Industries such as pulp & paper, metals, cement, mining, food & beverage, data center etc. Reporting to Engineering Manager, you will be assigning tasks to and coordinating work with entry level engineers, technicians, administrative staff. This position is based in Jakarta, Indonesia.

• Evaluating, selecting and applying standard techniques and procedures to perform engineering assignments. Provides technical support for testing, installation and commissioning activities
• Assisting in preparing proposal/presentation of engineering projects/programs (provision of bills of materials, estimated engineering hours, etc.)
• Supporting Contract Managers in issuing claims (new/change in scope of work, cost impact, time impact, risk quantifications, etc.). Providing quality solutions as per customer requirements and delivers within budget and contract
• Creating work plans and cost estimates in own area of responsibility and ensuring quality deliverables on time and within targeted cost. Improving effectiveness of work plan in collaboration with other functions
• Completing risk and opportunity assessments and ensuring implementation of resulting actions in one’s area of responsibility. Reporting any contract / quality / program / cost issues to management along with recommendations for resolution
• Assisting customers on technical issues, interacts with official contacts, contractors and other staff within his/her scope of deliverables. Assisting communication pertaining to specific assignments or meetings
• Collaborating with the supply chain function to ensure that technical requirements for equipment or services are communicated and agreed on with potential suppliers
• Using standard processes and tools applicable to one’s area of responsibility. Ensuring that engineering activities comply with required safety regulations and contractual requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical or electronics engineering from an accredited institution
• Minimum 5 years of experience in project engineering and DCS application programming in pulp and paper or mining process is preferable
• Good knowledge of ABB 800xA system. Knowledge of ABB other control system, PP libraries, mineral libraries will be an added advantage
• Good understanding of automation project execution requirements and knowledge on instrumentation and control with PLC and application background will be preferred
• Good knowledge on MS-Office (Excel, Word, Power Point) and windows operating system (MS server 2016/2019 and windows 10)
• Knowledge on Autocad or Visio will be preferred
• Good communication skills in Bahasa and English
