Reporting to: IT Systems Administrator/ Director operations

Location: Remote- Candidate will be required to work flexible UK (GMT/BST) & local (WIB) timings.
Salary: Between IDR 8,000,000 to IDR 11,000,000 per Month

Job Description:

The IT Systems Ansible Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining Ansible-based infrastructure automation and configuration management solutions across the organisations IT systems. They will work closely with the IT Systems Administrator/ Director operations team to streamline and optimise IT processes using Ansible.

Key responsibilities and duties:

As our IT Systems Ansible Engineer your regular duties will include but are not limited to:

• Design and develop Ansible playbooks, roles, and modules to automate the provisioning, configuration, and management of IT infrastructure including servers, networks, security, and cloud resources.
• Implement Ansible-based solutions to standardize and enforce configuration across the IT environment.
• Integrate Ansible with other IT tools and platforms to create end-to-end automation workflows.
• Collaborate with IT teams to understand requirements and translate them into Ansible-based solutions.
• Optimise and refactor existing Ansible code to improve efficiency, scalability, and maintainability.
• Provide training and support to IT staff on Ansible best practices and usage.
• Monitor and troubleshoot Ansible-based automation systems to ensure reliability and performance.
• Stay up to date with the latest Ansible features, modules, and community developments.
• Participate in the design and implementation of new IT systems and services, contributing Ansible-based automation.

Applicant specifications:

Education: Professional standard of spoken and written English, Experience with configuration management tools (e.g., Puppet, Chef, Salt), Knowledge of networking, security, and/or application frameworks, Experience with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines, Certifications related to Ansible or cloud platforms.

Desirable experience:

• 3+ years of experience in IT operations or system administration
• Proficient in Ansible and its core concepts (playbooks, roles, modules, inventory, etc.)
• Strong understanding of Linux/Unix operating systems and command-line scripting
• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and collaborative development practices
• Familiarity with cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and infrastructure as code
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Effective communication and collaboration skills
• Willingness to learn and stay up to date with emerging technologies
