Job Overview:

The Associate QHSES Training Specialist is responsible for utilizing existing QHSES Training procedures to solve routine or standard problems. They receive instruction, guidance, and direction from others within the team. They will leverage their conceptual knowledge of theories, practices, and procedures related to QHSES Training and Health Safety Environment Security.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

• Conduct and facilitate assigned QHSES courses and assess participants on defined learning outcomes/criteria
• Complete necessary Train-the-Trainer programs
• Ensure training facilities and equipment are well-maintained
• Prepare and conduct risk assessments when practical/hands-on demonstration and assessment are needed
• Deliver and assess courses with integrity
• Complete training documentation (attendance sheet, assessment form, course evaluation form, etc.) for recording
• Review course feedback and escalate to Supervisor / Manager when action is required
• Validate learning applications at the worksites
• Assist with the QHSES curriculum design and development
• Assist with the evaluation of third-party training providers when required

Essential Qualifications and Education:

• Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent combination of education and experience) in a related field, preferably majoring in Occupational Safety and Health study
• Over 3 years of QHSES experience within Energy Industry
• Preferably has working experience as an QHSES trainer
• Knowledge of training techniques and adult learning
• Strong presentation skills
• Detail-oriented and strong communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills
