Senior Production Manager - Palm Oil Manufacturing

Responsibilities:

• Strategic Planning: Develop and implement strategic plans to optimize manufacturing processes, increase efficiency, and meet production targets while ensuring alignment with company objectives.
• Production Management: Oversee all aspects of production operations, including scheduling, resource allocation, and quality control, to ensure timely and cost-effective manufacturing of products.
• Team Leadership: Provide leadership and direction to production teams, including supervisors and line workers, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
• Resource Allocation: Manage staffing levels, equipment utilization, and raw material inventory to meet production demands while minimizing costs and maximizing productivity.
• Quality Assurance: Implement and maintain quality assurance processes and standards to ensure that products meet or exceed customer expectations and regulatory requirements.
• Process Optimization: Identify opportunities for process improvement and optimization through the application of lean manufacturing principles, automation, and technology upgrades.
• Budget Management: Develop and manage departmental budgets, including capital expenditures and operating expenses, ensuring financial targets are met while maintaining quality and efficiency standards.
• Supplier and Vendor Management: Collaborate with procurement and supply chain teams to source and manage suppliers, negotiate contracts, and ensure timely delivery of materials and components.
• Health and Safety Compliance: Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations and company policies to provide a safe working environment for employees and minimize the risk of accidents or injuries.
• Performance Monitoring and Reporting: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to track production performance, analyze data, and prepare regular reports for senior management, identifying areas for improvement and corrective action.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, such as engineering, sales, and logistics, to coordinate production activities, resolve issues, and support overall business objectives.
• Customer Satisfaction: Monitor customer feedback and address any concerns or complaints related to product quality, delivery, or service, striving to enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty.
• Training and Development: Support the training and development of production staff, providing opportunities for skill enhancement, career advancement, and succession planning within the organization.
• Environmental Sustainability: Promote environmentally sustainable practices within the manufacturing process, including waste reduction, energy conservation, and recycling initiatives.

Requirements:

• Bachelor Degree form Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Chemical Engineering as minimum education background
• Age 48 – 53 years old preferable.
• Have experience minimum 10 years as Production Manager and or Plant Manager in Manufacture, priority with similar industry (palm oil manufacture and packaging).
• English is a must
• Plan organize and direct the manufacturing and maintenance operations which ensure the most effective return on assets
• Implement manufacturing strategies and action plans to ensure that the facility supports of Management strategic initiatives
• Assure attainment of business objectives and production schedules while insuring product standards that will exceed our customers expectations.
• Manage spending against budget and in relation to changes in production volume
• Initiative plans and processes which minimize manufacturing costs through effective utilization of man power, equipment, facilities, materials and capital.
