Actuary Pricing

Responsibilities

• Analyze data related to insurance claims, policyholder demographics, and market trends to identify patterns and evaluate risk levels
• Develop and maintain pricing models and methodologies to determine premiums for various insurance products
• Collaborate with underwriters, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand business objectives and incorporate them into pricing strategies.
• Conduct profitability analysis and recommend adjustments to pricing structures as needed.
• Monitor the performance of pricing strategies and make recommendations for enhancements or changes based on market conditions and company goals.
• Stay updated on industry regulations, emerging trends, and advancements in actuarial science to ensure compliance and competitiveness

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field. Advanced degree (e.g., Masters or Ph.D.) preferred.
• Proven experience (typically 2-5 years) in actuarial roles, with a focus on pricing within the insurance industry.
• Strong proficiency in statistical analysis and modeling techniques.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
• Understanding of regulatory requirements and compliance standards related to insurance pricing.
• Commitment to continuous learning and professional development in the field of actuarial science.
