Accounting Manager – Film Production Companies (Pererenan)

One of Balis thriving film production companies delivering world standard film advertising for leading international and local brands is looking for an Accounting Manager to join their team immediately.

The ideal candidate will be someone who has a dynamic, seasoned accounting professional to lead a dedicated accounting team in a fast-paced creative environment set in the highly attractive Pererenan area of Bali.

Reporting directly to the Managing Director, surrounded by talented and friendly colleagues, this role is suited to the accounting manager who is a self-starter, driven and looking to take their professional career to the next level.

Requirements :

• Open for Local candidates.
• Minimum Bachelors Degree in accounting, preferably Master’s Degree.
• Minimum three years’ prior experience in the same or similar role.
• Experience leading teams.
• Proficiency in English, written and spoken.
• Technical proficiency in MS office including Excel, Word.
• Knowledge of Xero accounting applications is an advantage.
• Strong written and spoken communication skills.
• Detail-oriented and critical thinker.
• Highly organised and prepared to anticipate.
• At ease engaging at all levels throughout the organisation.
• Preferably living in the Pererenan area.
• Able to work across cultures.

Responsibilities :

• Manage and lead the accounting function of the Company.
• Oversee, maintain and improve daily accounting operations.
• Lead a team of two people in Company accounting.
• Deliver monthly management reporting of Company, including :
• Financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cashflow).
• Monthly comments on financial performance.
• Liaise with the internal tax team to ensure all taxes are reported and paid on time.
• Prepare an annual budget phased monthly.
• Identify cost efficiencies.
• Ensure an efficient and timely process for approval of payment requests.
• Ensure supplier payments are executed on a timely basis taking into account fast-paced project environments.
• Monitor accounts receivables, client by client, for timely collection within the agreed payment terms.
• Manage cash flow actuals and forecasts.
• Prepare and monitor 3 month rolling cash flow projections – by project – to ensure funding requirements are properly anticipated.
• Assist in the annual external financial audit.
• Coordinate closely with functional colleagues (General Manager of Accounting; and CFO) to ensure full sharing of information and knowledge.
• Prepare, maintain and improve Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) of The Company.
• Closely monitor intercompany loans and other transactions.
• Perform other ad hoc tasks as advised by MD and CFO.
