Details of the assignment:

A lovely international family based in Madrid, Spain, is urgently seeking a temporary summer English-speaking maternity nanny to help them look after their 3.5-month-old baby boy. The family will be travelling to Bali, Indonesia, from June 21st until mid-August and then heading to the US until the end of September. Due to the dates, they need a maternity nanny who can start as soon as possible and is ready to travel with them.

Mum is very hands-on and loves to spend time with the baby. When she has appointments and errands to run, she needs someone trustworthy and capable of looking after him. The maternity nanny will be responsible for all childcare-related tasks such as getting the baby ready for the day, taking him for walks, organising and maintaining the nursery, and in general providing exceptional care to meet his needs. While other house staff handle cleaning, the family is looking for someone who can contribute to maintaining a clean and organised home. Additionally, the maternity nanny will sleep with the baby until he turns six months old. The baby is easy to handle and already sleeps through the entire night. The family would also require help in cooking and preparing meals, so it is essential for the candidate to be comfortable in the kitchen.

The ideal candidate for this role is passionate about childcare and providing support to the family or mum as needed. Since the family has household staff, they are seeking someone who is a good communicator and a team player who can work alongside the parents and other household members. The family values honesty, organisation, and cleanliness. They are looking for someone resourceful, quick-thinking, decisive, and able to work with minimal supervision. Although this role is temporary, there is a possibility for it to transition into a permanent position for the right candidate.

Requirements:

• Previous experience working as a full-time, live-in (travel) nanny
• Relevant work experience working with babies (3 years minimum)
• Travel ready
• Up-to-date first aid certificate
• Willingness to cook for the family
• US Passport or Green Card Visa holder (Desirable)
