Essential Skills:
The ideal candidate should have experience in the development and social sector, gained through work with a consulting firm, think tank, donor or development agency, research organization, or government. They should possess excellent communication, writing, presentation, and research skills (both primary and secondary), along with intellectual curiosity and a passion for the social and development sector. Additionally, experience in one or more of the following sectors is desirable: Digital Financial Services, Agriculture, Health, Youth, or Gender.

Detailed Responsibilities:

• Perform designated tasks on client projects, primarily offering technical support across various fields.
  
• Aid in creating and submitting proposals to foster new business opportunities.
  
• Execute assigned tasks with the highest diligence, attention to detail, and quality focus under supervision.
  
• Take part in assignment debrief meetings to evaluate and enhance project results.
  
• Assist in writing reports and analysing data to ensure accurate and insightful deliverables.
  
• Build connections with junior staff in client organizations to collect assignment-related information and data.
  
• Help review training courses, research papers, curricula, and technical assistance provided to clients.
  
• Contribute to the development of MSC’s tool kits and other publications to improve our service offerings.
  
• Co-author thematic publications based on field experiences to share insights and best practices.
  
• Actively participate in marketing activities and engage in digital media dialogues, including blogs and discussion forums, to promote our expertise and services.
  

Business Execution:

• Engage in assignment set-up and debriefing meetings
  
• Lead small and straightforward assignments under supervision
  
• Execute assignments with diligence, attention to detail, and a focus on quality
  
• Support report writing and data analysis processes
  
• Build connections with junior client staff to gather assignment-related information/data.
  
• Assist in reviewing training courses delivered, research papers prepared, curriculum developed, and technical assistance provided to clients.
  
• Contribute to the development of MSC’s tool kits and other publications
  

Professional Development:

• Conduct “Quality of Delivery”/Feedback assessments with team members post-assignment in accordance with quality control guidelines
  
• Assist in the development of other staff by offering guidance and advice as appropriate
  
• Take responsibility for self-development by acquiring skills and knowledge that add value to the organization

Requirements Qualifications:

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Economics, Banking, Public Policy, Social Development, Public Health, or Business Administration.
  
• Possession of other pertinent professional certifications aligned with specific areas of specialisation.
  

Any Other Requirements:

• Capable of executing assigned tasks under supervision
  
• Skilled in cultivating strong relationships
  
• Demonstrates keen attention to detail
  
• Possesses a strong orientation toward fieldwork with proven interpersonal skills
  
• Proficient in both spoken and written English.
