Position Summary:
The General Manager is responsible for the overall success of Limon Cafe, ensuring the seamless operation of both the cafe and administrative functions. This role oversees approximately 10-12 employees, including cafe managers, kitchen staff, baristas, waitstaff, and administrative personnel. The General Manager will lead the team in delivering an outstanding guest experience, managing financial performance, maintaining quality standards, and fostering a positive work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operations Management:
  • Oversee day-to-day cafe operations, ensuring efficiency and adherence to company standards.
  • Ensure the highest levels of customer service and product quality are consistently delivered.
  • Develop and implement procedures to improve workflow and operational efficiency.
  • Team Leadership:
  • Hire, train, motivate, and manage cafe and administrative staff, including cafe managers, chefs, baristas, waitstaff, and office personnel.
  • Schedule shifts and manage staff coverage to ensure smooth operations.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and productive work environment.
  • Financial Management:
  • Monitor and manage budgets, sales goals, and operational costs.
  • Work with the accountant to review financial reports and implement strategies to optimize profitability.
  • Oversee inventory management, purchasing, and cost control practices.
  • Customer Experience:
  • Ensure that guests receive an exceptional experience in line with Limon Cafe’s brand and standards.
  • Handle customer feedback and resolve complaints professionally and promptly.
  • Administrative Oversight:
  • Collaborate with HR, the graphic designer, and the admin assistant to ensure smooth administrative operations.
  • Work closely with HR on employee relations, payroll, and compliance.
  • Ensure all business permits, licenses, and health and safety regulations are up to date.
  • Marketing and Brand Management:
  • Work with the graphic designer on promotional campaigns and brand consistency.
  • Support marketing initiatives, events, and social media engagement to drive customer traffic and brand awareness.
  • Compliance and Quality Control:
  • Ensure compliance with food safety, health, and sanitation regulations.
  • Maintain quality standards for food preparation, presentation, and service.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum 3-5 years in a General Manager or similar leadership role in hospitality or the food and beverage industry.
  • Skills: Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills. Proficiency in business and financial management.
  • Knowledge: Familiarity with cafe operations, food safety regulations, and customer service standards.
  • Traits: Positive attitude, problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to motivate a diverse team.
  • Education: A degree in Business, Hospitality Management, or a related field is a plus.
