The Dive Guide is responsible for leading certified divers on safe, enjoyable dives while promoting courses and ensuring customer satisfaction. This role involves planning dives, managing diver safety, selling diving courses (such as nitrox or advanced certifications), and assisting with dive center operations, including equipment preparation and customer service.

● Guide certified divers on fun dives, ensuring safety and enjoyment throughout the experience.

● Plan dive routes based on diver skill levels, safety, and local marine conditions.

● Conduct pre-dive briefings covering dive plans, safety protocols, and marine life encounters.

● Monitor dive times, depths, and air supply to ensure the safety of all participants.

● Actively promote and sell additional trips and dive courses, such as nitrox, advanced open water, or specialty certifications.

● Engage with divers to identify their interests, advise them on how to improve their dive skills, and recommend relevant courses to enhance their skills.

● Provide information on the benefits, costs, and prerequisites for various courses.

● Ensure all diving activities comply with the Company and PADI safety standards and regulations.

● Monitor divers during trips, particularly those with less experience, and make necessary adjustments to ensure safety.

● Adjust or cancel dives if safety or environmental conditions pose a risk.

● Conduct post-dive safety checks to ensure the well-being of all participants.

● Assist in preparing and checking dive equipment before each trip.

● Ensure tanks are filled, equipment is functional, and properly distributed to divers.

● Report any equipment issues to the Dive Center Managers and Equipment Technician for repairs. Environmental Awareness

● Promote responsible diving practices that protect marine life and underwater ecosystems.

● Educate divers about local marine environments and encourage sustainable diving behavior.

● Lead by example with eco-friendly diving practices, including proper buoyancy control and environmental stewardship.

● Greet customers, assist with equipment setup, and ensure divers are comfortable and prepared for trips.

● Answer questions about dive sites, marine life, and dive conditions, providing a positive and professional experience.

● Address any concerns or issues divers may have before, during, and after the dive to ensure satisfaction. Administrative Support

● Assist with scheduling dive trips, managing customer bookings, and maintaining customer records.

● Help with basic office duties, such as answering inquiries and assisting with dive center logistics.

● Provide feedback to the Dive Center Managers on customer experiences and dive trip operations. Teamwork and Collaboration

● Work closely with dive instructors, ground assistants, and compressor technicians to ensure smooth operations.

● Coordinate with the boat crew to prepare and load equipment for trips.

● Assist with opening and closing the dive center as needed

● Maintain cleanliness and organization within the dive center, boat, and jetty.

● Ensure compliance with safety protocols, such as enforcing no smoking near the compressor room.

● Assist with other tasks as assigned by the Dive Center Manager to support daily operations.
