Computer Science Teacher

Mutiara Harapan Islamic School is seeking a dedicated Computer Science Teacher to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction in computer science to secondary level students, fostering their understanding of key concepts and preparing them for future academic and professional pursuits in technology.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and deliver comprehensive and engaging computer science lessons that align with curriculum standards and objectives.
• Foster a deep understanding of computer science concepts among students through effective teaching methodologies and instructional strategies.
• Create a stimulating and supportive learning environment that encourages inquiry, critical thinking, and problem-solving.
• Utilize assessment tools and techniques to monitor student progress, provide feedback, and support student learning.
• Integrate real-world applications and projects into the curriculum to enhance student engagement and relevance.
• Stay updated on developments in the field of computer science and educational best practices to continuously improve teaching practice.

Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is required.
• Masters degree or higher qualification is preferred.
• Certification in teaching Computer Science at the secondary level, preferably from Cambridge or equivalent, is highly desirable.
• Experience teaching in an international or Cambridge-affiliated school is advantageous.
• Comprehensive understanding and mastery of computer science concepts relevant to the secondary level.
• Proficiency in English (spoken and written) is essential for effective communication with students and colleagues in an English-medium instructional environment.
