Job Responsibilities

Civil
• Lead project team members (Construction, Engineering, Quality, Commissioning and etc.) in project management as well as sharing of technical knowledge and lesson learnt.
• Implement and manage project scope creep in Conceptual, Pre-Engineering and Execution phases in compliance to Project Model.
• Responsible for resources planning and implement a realistic project baseline schedule in meeting corporate business objective within the given timeframe.
• Keep abreast on engineering knowledge to ensure adherence to Contract and statutory requirements.
• Effective coordination with internal and external stakeholders to ensure projects are completed safely on time, within budget and meeting quality standard.
• Manage contractor’s detailed design for compliance, site works supervision, verify engineering work done, establish formal handover of project, and proper Contract closing.
• Ensure Factory and Site Acceptance Test are fully complied to Contract requirements and international engineering standards.
• Coordinate interface meetings within team members to resolve project issues and focus to achieving the common goal.
Structural
• Perform engineering management on transmission substation projects engineering design, in particular on the steel structure design, Control Building, foundation etc.
• Ensure engineering review completed on time, compliance to the technical specifications, code of practice and engineering best practices.
• Perform transmission substation civil conceptual design and pre-engineering inclusive of conduct transmission substation planning, permitting, stakeholder engagement and execution plan.
• Prepare tender document on technical specifications, engineering scopes requirements, quantities take off, cost estimation and technical evaluation on tender submission.
• Perform standardization design for transmission substation and prepare Standard Operation Procedure (SOP), guideline and engineering best practices to continue improve the engineering work process.
• Responsible and accountable as a team member for the effective and efficient engineering management.
Project Control
• Deliver project controls functions, as assigned by the Project Controls Manager, to the satisfaction of the Project Director/Managers – Main Civil Works package, etc.
• Supervise the project controls resources assigned to the Project Control Team for Hydro Electric Power (HEP) portfolio.
• Lead & facilitate cost estimating and control, schedule development and control, project reporting, risk management, and interface management.
• Review and analyze cost estimates, change orders related to time and budget, invoices, construction productivity, physical engineering/construction progress and commissioning progress etc.
• Lead and contribute to the preparation of DG document packages & paper, project CCE updates and GEC/Board papers; and ensure quality control on the contents and formats.

Job Requirements

• Bachelors Degree of Civil Engineering
• Minimum 6-9 years of relevant working experience, with preference to those who have been involved with major Hydropower development project/ Power Plant construction project
• Have good competencies on construction methods and system analysis.
• Strong background in civil construction, quality control and assurance, ensuring that all civil construction activities meet the required standards and specifications.
• Willing to be located in Malinau, North Kalimantan Site
