About the job,

Professionally create, review, update, and deliver competency-based learning and assessment to a culturally diverse range of learners in on job and off job situations. Contribute as a recognized technical expert member of a larger team of educational professionals, at all times demonstrating those behaviors that fully support Company Values and PTFI SHE policies and procedures.

The key duties and responsibilities of this position are:

1.     Demonstrate behaviors that match Company Values, follow and apply PTFI SHE policies and procedures in order to be a role model for development program participants.

2.     Demonstrate competence in the principles and application of competency-based learning so that development programs delivered and assessed meet CBD standards.

3.     Professionally deliver/facilitate on and off the job Competency Based Development in field of expertise in order to meet PTFI customer development needs and quality standards.

4.     Assist to create competency-based learning materials so that learning programs delivered achieve their intended learning outcomes.

5.     Understand and competently apply professionally accepted principles of adult learning so that learners are given maximum opportunity to develop job competence.

6.     Assist to create competency-based assessment tools, professionally conduct on and off the job competency assessments in field of expertise in order to ensure assessment standards are met.

7.     Assist to schedule and communicate learning programs, follow schedules to ensure that programs are delivered as planned.

8.     Accurately record and report participant learning and assessment results so that participant records are consistently kept up to date and recorded in the company learning management system.

9.     Respond to customer learning and development requirements, provide appropriate technical support and advice in order to assist L&OD meet /exceed customer expectations.

10. Develop training and assessment material refer to national or industry standard.

The key challenges in this position include:

·        Consistently delivering learning and assessment activities that truly achieve the specific learning outcomes for job competencies.

·        Managing learning situations that vary from “one on one” coaching to group delivery.

·        Effectively coaching learners & colleague Assistant Instructors to reach the required level of competence and professionalism in order to competently do their respective jobs.

·        Sensitively and professionally working with learners form a wide range of cultures.

The background, education, and work experience needed to succeed in this job are:

·        Graduated minimum SMK/SMU with 10 years or minimum D3 engineering degree with 5 years' experience in welding.

·        Must have 6G SMAW Certification and experience as welders for 5 years.

·        Must have Welding Inspector (WI) Certification.

·        Preferably candidate who possess GMAW-FCAW, GTAW Certification or combination GTAW-SMAW.

·        Preferably candidates with training and assessment facilitation experienced.

·        Preferably candidate with formal workplace training and assessment qualifications

·        Experienced in training and assessment material development.

·        Proficiency using MS Office (Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint)

·        Having experienced working in culturally diversity.

·        Strong communication skills.

·        Strong analytical thinking skills.

·        Highly proactive and achievement oriented.

·        Ability to work in a team.

·        Minimum English beginner level for both writing and speaking.
